Pimax unveils next-generation 29-megapixel VR headset "Crystal Super" on the first day of CES 2025

On the first day of CES 2025, Pimax unveiled its next-generation 29-megapixel VR headset, Crystal Super, for the first time in the world. Crystal Super offers a resolution of 3840 x 3840 pixels per eye and a wide viewing angle of over 120 degrees thanks to its glass aspherical lenses.

This allows for an impressive image quality of 57 PPD (pixel density), and boasts a high brightness of 280 nits, allowing you to experience bright and clear images.

Pimax exhibited the Crystal Super DVT2 model (Design Verification Test #2), which is equipped with a QLED optical engine that achieves 57 PPD. This enables a variety of features such as local dimming 2.0, integrated audio, and inside-out tracking, and all functions except eye tracking are working properly. Pimax is currently preparing the Crystal Super's final PVT sample (Production Verification Test), and final adjustments are being made for mass production.

Additionally, media outlets and YouTube channels such as Heise, PC Mag, DDay, TechRadar, Skarredghost, Tyriel Wood, and MRTV were among the first to test the new VR headset and share their experiences.

Stay tuned for future updates.
