60G Airlink - Wireless Freedom

60G Airlink is one of the key technologies Pimax is pushing for the future, aiming to not only make PCVR wireless but also maintain its high visual clarity.

Using standard Wi-Fi protocols significantly diminishes the stunning visuals that are one of the attractions of PC VR. The 60G Airlink module was developed specifically for Crystal, enabling data transfer with virtually no compression, resulting in zero visual artifacts, color banding, or visible latency.

Pimax has improved performance by replacing one key chip in a module that integrates transmitter and receiver functions. This technology not only provides ultra-high bandwidth, but also provides a stable connection within a 5m x 5m range from the PC. This is where 60G technology comes in.

Pimax isn't the first to use this technology. For example, TP Cast for Oculus achieved 90Hz performance at 1080x1200 resolution (per eye). HTC's wireless solution also achieved 90Hz at 1632x1632 resolution. However, Pimax Crystal has already achieved 90Hz and is working towards 120Hz, which will allow for smoother gameplay, even in fast-paced games.

Additionally, it offers a resolution of 2880x2880 per eye, which is higher than any other VR device to date.

And because the technology is so lightweight and integrated into the headset, there are no extra wires or complicated setups required. It's integrated into Pimax Play and works incredibly smoothly.

Pimax is also currently working on optimizing eye tracking technology, including Dynamic Foveated Transport, Dynamic Foveated Rendering, and upscaling modes for Crystal, meaning that Pimax Crystal not only offers the best visual clarity, but also the most advanced wireless solution.

Pimax is currently offering users the opportunity to try out the 60G Airlink in its offices, and will begin beta testing soon. Mass production is now complete, and the 60G Airlink will soon be unveiled to the public at CES in Las Vegas.
