Pimax welcomed Rainer from NEED Immersive Reality and Reinhard from CAD FORGE to talk about how VR technology will be used in new ways.
VR is a technology that can easily detect mistakes
"As master architects, we use VR to show our clients house designs. We use VR to conduct design reviews. If there are mistakes, it can be very expensive to fix them - for example, installing the wrong window in a building, or a room that doesn't suit the individual's needs. So VR is a very useful technology to catch mistakes early on."
—— Reinhard
As Reinhard says in the video, " VR is a very useful technology that can help you catch mistakes early ."
VR is a technology that allows users to experience various scenarios in a virtual environment, eliminating the hassle and expense of physical travel. It is also used in simulation training in the medical and military fields, enabling safe and efficient learning. VR also supports remote collaboration, allowing people in different locations to interact with each other in the same virtual space.
For example, an architect can first create a realistic 3D model, then meet with the client in VR to have them view the building in a virtual space. The client can freely decide the position, color, and material of the sink, and if the window position is wrong, they can correct it directly in 3D. This can significantly reduce time and costs.
VR is difficult to popularize
Over the past decade, Rainer and Reinhard realized there was a lack of easy-to-use solutions for VR in the industry, so they started developing their own software. They explored ways to leverage VR and continued experimenting to create use cases for a variety of fields, including architecture, museums, and medical training.

But we realized the real challenge was how to make VR more accessible. It's hard to explain to others how VR works, and you can't really appreciate it until you experience it. Many people don't even have the opportunity to try a VR headset.
"What we need to do is get people to experience VR and say, 'Okay, now let other people experience VR.'" — Rainer
