Pimax continues to develop its proprietary OpenXR runtime and Quadviews foveated rendering solution. These features are currently in beta testing and will soon be available in Pimax Play. This marks another important step towards Pimax's goal of providing the ultimate immersive experience through VR headsets ( e.g., Pimax Crystal Light ) .
What is OpenXR Runtime ?
OpenXR is developed and maintained by the Khronos Group , and is the core software that communicates between VR and AR hardware and the OpenXR API. Using OpenXR, this runtime translates application requests into a format that the hardware can understand and process.
In effect, OpenXR drivers simplify the management of VR and AR devices, allowing applications to work seamlessly across devices from different manufacturers, enabling you to support multiple devices with the same code base.
Why Pimax Play Integration?
To meet the needs of users, Pimax Group decided to integrate this function based on its "customer-first" service philosophy.
We aim to improve the Pimax Play experience and integrate all software features into Pimax Play.
This eliminates the need to download or install additional software, significantly improving ease of use and convenience for users, while also enabling further runtime improvements.
